Journal of Bacha Khan Medical College (JBKMC)

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Bacha Khan Medical College (JBKMC) is published biannually and has been in continuous publication since its inaugural issue in 2020. The journal releases two issues each year, as per the schedule below:

  • Issue 1 (Spring Edition): January – June

  • Issue 2 (Fall Edition): July – December


Author Guidelines

JBKMC welcomes the submission of original research articles, systematic reviews, and case reports that demonstrate a high level of scientific rigor, novelty, and relevance to the fields of medicine and health sciences. All submissions are subject to a rigorous peer-review process, where the scientific merit, methodological quality, and contribution to existing knowledge are carefully evaluated.

Submission Instructions:

  • Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS) submission portal.

  • All submissions should be prepared using Microsoft Word (2007 or later versions).

  • Authors are advised to strictly follow the Instructions for Authors provided on the journal’s website.

  • Prior to submission, authors must ensure that:

    • The manuscript is original and unpublished.

    • Ethical approval and informed consent are documented, where applicable.

    • All author contributions and conflicts of interest are clearly declared.

    • The manuscript adheres to the ICMJE Uniform Requirements for biomedical journals.

JBKMC maintains strict adherence to the ethical standards and best practices outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal promotes responsible research conduct and ethical publication practices, which are essential to fostering public trust in scientific findings and protecting intellectual property.

  • Honesty in reporting and data presentation

  • Full disclosure of conflicts of interest

  • Obtaining necessary approvals from Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) or Ethical Committees

Any breach of ethical conduct will be dealt with in accordance with COPE guidelines, and appropriate corrective action will be taken.

  • Analyzing the geographical and disciplinary distribution of scholarly submissions

All data is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized editorial staff. It is never shared with third parties for commercial use or marketing purposes.
