Peer Review Policy
JBKMC follows a Double-Blind Peer Review system to ensure impartiality:
-
The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
-
This model promotes unbiased evaluations and enhances the credibility of the editorial decisions.
Reviewer Selection
-
Reviewers are carefully selected based on their subject expertise, academic qualifications, and track record of research publications.
-
Each manuscript is assigned to a minimum of two independent reviewers who specialize in the relevant field.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
-
Evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and within the allotted time frame
-
Provide constructive, specific, and evidence-based feedback
-
Clearly recommend one of the following outcomes: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject
-
Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript’s content at all times
-
Avoid using any data or ideas from the manuscript for personal advantage
-
Declare any conflicts of interest (personal, academic, or financial) that may compromise the integrity of the review
Confidentiality
-
All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents.
-
Reviewers are strictly prohibited from sharing, discussing, or disclosing the content with any third party without prior written approval from the editorial office.
Conflict of Interest
-
Reviewers must immediately inform the editorial team if they identify any potential conflict of interest—whether personal, professional, or financial—related to the manuscript or its authors.
-
In such cases, the editorial office will reassign the manuscript to an alternate reviewer.
Review Timeline
-
Reviewers are requested to submit their reports within 2–3 weeks of receiving the manuscript.
-
If additional time is required, reviewers should inform the editorial office promptly, and reasonable extensions may be granted.
Recognition of Reviewers
-
JBKMC values the contributions of its reviewers and acknowledges their service in the following ways:
-
Annual acknowledgment (with consent) of reviewers on the journal website
-
Certificates of peer review available upon request for academic or professional use
-
