Objective: to learn about the opinions of women visiting family planning outpatient departments (OPDs) on the conduct of the staff and the use of contraception.
Study design: A cross-sectional study
Duration and place of study: six months Department, Gajju Khan Medical College, Swabi, Pakistan from Jan 2014 to July 2014
Materials and Methods: Over six months, this cross-sectional research was carried out in two prominent Peshawar hospitals’ family planning outpatient departments. Women visiting the OPD were given a questionnaire, and information was gathered via interviews. Individuals who declined were not included. Microsoft Excel was used to input and evaluate the data.
Results: According to our findings, 95% of the women had received the appropriate information, and 89.28% of the participants were happy with the family planning services personnel. Ninety-seven percent of the subjects received free services. In 96.4% of the cases, the husband was accommodating when it came to the wife’s usage of contraception. In 84% of cases, the woman’s family and in-laws did not impose any restrictions on her use of contraception.
Conclusion: Comparing Peshawar’s family planning service user satisfaction to earlier research indicates an improvement. Furthermore, both the husband’s and the in-laws’ attitudes are improving. We can keep this trend going by fostering education and understanding about family planning and its importance to the modern world.
